Why Liposuction?

You worked hard to lose those pounds. You were disciplined in saying "NO" to sweets, carbs, and fatty food. You counted calories every day, making sure you reserved some calories for a glass of wine at night. You exercised regularly, even went to the gym on rainy days when you just felt like staying home to watch the next episode of a binge series on Netflix. You did all that needs to be done, yet you have these pockets of fat near your belly, thighs, back, and/or sides that JUST WON'T GO AWAY!

You may ask yourself, "What am I doing wrong"? Well I tell you, it's not what you're doing wrong, it's just that those pockets of fat are the last areas where your body burns fat. So unless you're in your teens, working out for hours every day, or staying on a strict diet, those pockets of fat will be difficult to remove.

Liposuction can help to remove those areas and help you get the body that you want. The procedure permanently removes fat cells by using a small device called a cannula that is attached to a suction pump. The cannula is inserted into small incisions placed in targeted areas in the body, enabling the removal of excess fatty tissue to reveal a more sculptured and contoured shape. The tiny incisions are then closed with a few fine stitches. Patients experience little to no pain through this process due to local anesthesia that is strategically injected.

After Liposuction, patients will wear a tight garment for a few days to a few weeks while they are healing. Most can deal with post procedural pain with some Tylenol or prescription pain medicine. The small incision areas will be dark for a few months, however, they are not very noticeable since they are placed in areas that aren't readily seen.

So stop stressing about the fat that you just can't seem to get rid of. Consult with Dr. Kim to see if Liposuction is right for you. Oh and by the way, Liposuction is also used to sculpt the face too. With over 20 years of experience, you know you're in the right hands with Dr. Kun Kim.
